Introduction

Support for the person behind the diagnosis.

A Cancer diagnosis can change everything. It can bring fear, uncertainty and grief, while also challenging the way you see yourself your relationships and your future.

At Embracing Highs, I believe you deserve support through the whole experience, not just the medical side of cancer.

I offer compassionate, person-centred cancer support and wellbeing services designed to help you navigate the emotional and personal challenges that cam come with diagnosis, treatment, recovery and life after cancer.

My approach draws on my background in social practice, mind coaching and NLP, alongside my own lived experience of cancer and the many emotional layers that can accompany it.

I understand that sometimes you dont need another person telling you what you should do. You need someone who will listen, understand, sit with the hard stuff and help you find your way forward.

Whether you are facing treatment, adjusting to life after cancer, supporting someone you love, or simply trying to feel like yourself again. Embracing Highs is a space where there is room for all of that.

No judgement, No pretending everything is positive. Just genuine support, practical tools and a focus on helping you reconnect with yourself, your strength  and the life you want to embrace.

My Approach
Support for your mind, emotions and wellbeing

At Embracing Highs, I take a whole-person approach. Cancer and other major life experiances can affect far more than the body. They can influence how we think, feel, sleep, cope and relate to others and how we see ourselves.
My role is to provide a safe, compassionate space where you can talk openly, explore what you are experiencing and learn practical tools to support your emotional wellbeing.

Cancer support:
Cancer can be an overwhelming journey, whether you're newly diagnosed, undergoing treatment, adjusting to life after treatment or supporting someone you love.
This may include:
- Coping with uncertainty and change
- Adjusting to changes in identity and confidence
- Emotional wellbeing during and after treatment
- Building coping stratagies
- Navigating life after cancer
- Supporting Loved ones and carers
- Finding ways to reconnect with yourself, relationships and your life beyond cancer

Mind Coaching

Sometimes we know we want something to change, but we feel stuck in the same patterns. Mind Coaching can help you explore your thoughts, beliefs, habits and goals, and develop practical strategies to move forward.

Together, we can work towards greater self-awareness, confidence, motivation and a stronger sense of direction.

Self-hypnosis

Self-hypnosis is a skill you can learn and use for yourself. I teach practical self-hypnosis techniques designed to help you create a greater sense of calm, focus and relaxation, and to work with your thoughts and internal patterns. Rather than relying on someone else to create change for you, self-hypnosis gives you a tool you can continue using independantly.

NLP

Neuro-Linguistic programming, or NLP, provides techniques for exploring the relationship between thoughts, language, emotions and behaviour.

I use NLP-informed approaches to help you examine unhelpful patterns, develop different perspectives and work towards the changes that matter to you.

YOUR JOURNEY. YOUR PACE. YOUR GOALS.

There is no one-size-fits-all approach to wellbeing. Some people come to Embracing Highs because they're navigating cancer. Others may be dealing with a major life transition, feeling stuck, struggling with confidence or simply wanting to make meaningful changes in their lives.

Wherever you are starting from, we begin there. No judgement. No pressure. No pretending.

Just a supportive space to explore where you are now, where you want to go and the tools that may help you get there.

A GENTLE BUT IMPORTANT NOTE:

Embracing Highs provides support, Coaching and wellbeing services. These services are complementary and are not a substitute for medical care, psychological treatment or advice from your healthcare professionals.

If you are experiencing significant physical or psychological symptoms, I encourage you to seek appropriate professional medical or mental health support.

Empower Your Journey

Meet Jessica

Hi I'm Jess

I'm a Social & NLP practitioner, also the founder of Embracing Highs.

But before any of those titles, I'm a person who understands what it feels like when life suddenly changes direction.

My own experience with cancer, including undergoing a double mastectomy through two separate surgeries. This gave me a very personal understanding of the emotional journey that can sit alongside the medical one. I've experienced the uncertainty, fear, grief, identity changes and questions that come from the first findings, diagnosis, treatments and then the recovery and starting from a new place, having the questions of what life looks like afterwards.

I've also experienced the other side of cancer, supporting people I love through their own journeys and experiencing the grief of losing loved ones to cancer. These experiences have given me a deep appreciation for just how different every person's journey can be.

There is no single "right" way to experiance cancer.

Sometimes you feel strong. Sometimes you feel completely overwhelmed. Sometimes you want to talk about cancer and sometimes you desperately want to talk about anything else.

That's where my approach comes in.

My background in Social Practice, combined with my training in Mind Coaching, self hypnosis & Neuro-Linguistic programming (NLP), allows me to look beyond the diagnosis and support the whole person.

I'm particularly interested in the connection between our conscious thoughts, subconscious patterns, emotions and behavior, and how these can influence the way we experience and navigate difficult periolds

My approach is compassionate, practical; and non-judgmental. I'm not here to tell you how you should feel, or to cover difficult experiences with forced positivity. I'm here to listen, help you make sense of what you're experiencing, and provide tools that may help you feel more grounded, empowered and connected to yourself.

Embracing Highs came from a simple belief:

Even when life has taken you somewhere you never expected to go, there can still be a way forward.

Sometimes we need support finding that path.

And sometimes, we simply need someone to walk beside us for a while.

That's what I hope to offer.

You don't have to navigate the journey alone.
